Login Access Methods
OldNational supports two primary authentication methods. Your company's enrollment determines which method you use:
| Method | Description | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| ONPointe Secure Browser | Dedicated secure browser app with built-in malware protection | Standard desktop access |
| ONPointe Token | Hardware token generating one-time passcodes | Enhanced security requirements |
Contact your company's ONPointe administrator to confirm which method is configured for your organization.
ONPointe Secure Browser Login
The ONPointe Secure Browser is a dedicated application that provides an additional layer of security against malware and phishing attacks. It acts as a secure portal to OldNational and other banking services.
Steps to Login via Secure Browser:
- Launch the ONPointe Secure Browser application from your workstation desktop or start menu.
- The application establishes a secure connection to the banking servers.
- Enter your User ID in the designated field.
- Enter your Password.
- Complete the multi-factor authentication challenge (see below).
- Upon successful authentication, you will be directed to the OldNational dashboard.
ONPointe Token Login
For organizations requiring hardware-based authentication, the ONPointe Token method uses a physical token device that generates time-based one-time passcodes (OTPs).
Steps to Login with Token:
- Navigate to the OldNational login page via your web browser.
- Enter your User ID and Password.
- When prompted for a passcode, press the button on your hardware token to generate a one-time code.
- Enter the displayed code into the passcode field.
- Submit to complete authentication.
Multi-Factor Authentication
OldNational requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all login attempts. This adds a critical layer of security beyond just a username and password.
Common MFA Methods:
- SMS Text Code: A one-time code is sent to your registered mobile phone number.
- Email Code: A verification code is sent to your registered email address.
- Voice Call: An automated phone call reads the verification code aloud.
- Authenticator App: A time-based code generated by a third-party authenticator application.
- Hardware Token: A physical device generates one-time passcodes (as described above).
First-Time Login Process
If you are logging in for the first time, additional setup steps are required:
- Your company administrator must first create your user account and assign permissions.
- You will receive initial login credentials and instructions, typically through your administrator.
- Install the ONPointe Secure Browser from ONPointe University (if applicable to your enrollment).
- On first login, you will be prompted to change your temporary password to a permanent one.
- Set up your MFA method by following the on-screen prompts.
- Review and accept the terms of service and user agreement.
- You will then have access to the features and accounts your administrator has assigned to you.
Login Troubleshooting
Account Locked
After multiple failed login attempts, your account will be automatically locked for security. To unlock:
- Contact your company's ONPointe administrator — they can reset your account.
- If you are the administrator, contact Treasury Management support through the official bank website.
Secure Browser Won't Launch
- Verify the application is installed correctly via ONPointe University.
- Check for antivirus or firewall blocking the application.
- Restart your workstation and try again.
- Contact your IT department if the issue persists.
Token Not Generating Codes
- Check if the token battery is depleted — tokens typically need replacement every 3-5 years.
- Ensure the token is properly synchronized — contact support if codes are rejected.
- Request a replacement token through your administrator.
MFA Code Not Received
- Verify your phone number and email address are correct in the system.
- Check spam/junk folders for email codes.
- Ensure your mobile device has signal reception for SMS codes.
- Contact your administrator to update your contact information.
Password Recovery
If you have forgotten your password, the recovery process depends on your role:
- Standard Users: Contact your company's ONPointe administrator to reset your password.
- Administrators: Contact Treasury Management support through the official bank website. Identity verification will be required.
Mobile Access
ONPointe Mobile provides access to popular platform features on smartphones and tablets. The mobile experience includes:
- Account balance viewing
- Transaction history (13 months)
- Account-to-account transfers
- Custom alerts and notifications
- eStatement access
The mobile app uses the same credentials as the desktop platform but may have a simplified MFA flow for convenience. Download the mobile application only from official app stores.

Login FAQ
Can I use OldNational without the Secure Browser?
It depends on your company's enrollment. Some organizations use ONPointe Token instead of the Secure Browser. Check with your administrator to confirm which method applies to you.
How often do I need to change my password?
Password policies are set by your company's administrator. Common policies require password changes every 60-90 days. Your system will typically notify you in advance when a change is due.
Can multiple people use the same login?
No. Each user should have their own unique credentials. OldNational supports multiple users per company with customizable permissions. Sharing credentials is a security risk and violates terms of service.
What happens if I lose my hardware token?
Report the lost token to your administrator immediately. They can deactivate the lost token and issue a replacement. Your account remains protected by your password and MFA.
